Research Interests
After receiving a diploma degree in Computer Science from the University of Dortmund, Tim Hussein joined the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2005 as a research assistant and PhD student. His main research interests include context-aware interaction and recommendation techniques based on ontologies. In two funded research projects, WISE and CONTici, he was/is responsible for context-adaptive human-computer interaction.
Tim Hussein is in the final stage of his Ph.D. process researching the combination of semantic and context-aware recommendation techniques. In several funded research projects, he was/is responsible for context-adaptive human-computer interaction.
Since 2008, Tim Hussein is elected representative for the department's academic non-tenure staff and Ph.D. students.
